Gigabit-capable broadband in South Yorkshire

Gigabit-capable broadband in South Yorkshire for Homes and businesses in the villages of Barnby Dun and Hatfield Woodhouse, just north of Doncaster, now have access to full fibre broadband and can order their new service from today.

The fast and reliable gigabit-capable broadband is now live and bringing high-speed connectivity to rural South Yorkshire communities.

Almost 1,700 premises can today connect to gigabit-capable broadband with the remaining address located across the two villages set to benefit in the coming weeks as the rollout continues under the UK government’s Project Gigabit.

Project Gigabit is a government-funded programme to enable hard-to-reach communities to access lightning-fast gigabit-capable broadband. It targets homes and businesses that are not included in any commercial plans of broadband suppliers, reaching parts of the UK that might otherwise miss out on upgrades to next-generation speeds.
